If society and the medical profession understood cluster headaches our lives would be so different! I've had CH's for 26 yrs, and am just through a bout. After all of this time, I realized that doctors DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH US because THEY CAN'T FIX IT. Doctors like to fix things, and society, friends, etc., don't like to hear about physical problems (pain) that can't be relieved. Doctors hate pain also: who doesn't? I have come to realize that this condition, if chronic, is a disability, and if not chronic is a temporary disability. Our society doesn't do well with disabilities either, does it?
