Carl - I feel for you buddy! I said those same exact words "what did I ever do to deserve this", thru tears of hysteria one week ago! I had already had three straight weeks of pain, so I guess I was getting "kinda kooky". The stadol is the only thing that works for me. It doesn't take all the pain away, but in about 20 minutes it does begin to "dull" it some. I have been taking Trazodone for about one week. It is some sort of anti-depressent/ sleeping agent. Took about one week to take effect, but I was actually PAIN-FREE last night. Thank GOD! There are very good doctors out there who just don't understand the pain. I certainly would not wish clusters on my worst enemy, but ya think maybe JUST one night they get a taste of what it really feels like, just one night of a 10 huh? Hang in there, you know they will stop eventually, right?
