After two tapers of Prednisone and still on Verapamil, my clusters have ceased...sorta. They lasted about 50 days which is longer than usual. Now, everytime I have a drink, (beer or vodka) I have a cluster on the other side of my head. This has never happened before. I have always had them on the left side...for about 40 days. When the Pred. taper was over, the headaches were gone till the next cycle (every two years). I am fearful that now I will have Cluster cycles on each side of my head. This cycle has been the worst ever and the depression is worse. Also, gained so much weight on the Pred. Wondering now if it will ever go away.
I would appreciate any feedback anyone has about the C/h's changing sides of the head and anything else. I haven't had any headaches "naturally" for two weeks now....only when I have a drink. I know what you are thinking...."don't drink". Well, I like to have a drink and don't want to curtail my lifestyle at 32 to accomodate headaches! I refuse to give into them without a major fight.
