Six years ago I would get blinding headaches each time I drank. Quantity did not matter, 1/2 a beer was enough to set it off. I never saw a doctor about it, I gave up drinking until I forgot how bad the pain could be and started again.
Since then if I have had CH, it was less than a 2 on the Kip scale, and I paid no attention. Just recently, I was diagnosed with a lung infection which had pushed my blood pressure up to 130/86 (my normal BP is 100/60) and my resting pulse to 120 bpm. I was given Cipro to fight the infection and have had 3 attacks (8.5 on the Kip scale)in 10 days.
From what I have read on this site, I almost think I have been mis-diagnosed. My episodes are so far apart that there must be some "trigger" which changes me from headache free to CH sufferer. Is this thing related to blood pressure? Does anyone else have these long gaps between CHs?
Thanks and good luck to all
