In reading many of the posts here, it seems some of you don't get any warnings. I started looking, or rather feeling for signs of cluster attacks, and over the years here is what I've compiled. In a way I'm grateful that I get a warning because I can plan better.
My Warning Signs:
1)Waves of Cold Flashes (opposite of hot flash). Even at night when I'm sleeping. One sure sign that I will get a medium to a 10.
2)Feels like I have a bump on my head (on left=headache side)-feel for it when combing or washing hair.
3)Tingle or ringing in Left ear.
4)My head feels like it's being filled with air which is being pumped in through my left ear, just before a headache is about to come. As soon as I feel this, I reach for medication. By the time the headache hits, the medication is taking effect, and I can usually abort it.
5)Tension or tightness in shoulders and neck that won't go away no matter how much I stretch.
Just sharing in the hopes of helping others.
