Rick, has it occurred to you that there may be a kid out there who has a chronic condition of his own, either something like CH or some other more physical disability? The amount of understanding you can offer him, and that he can offer you while still finding the good in life together might be just what both of you need.
What a role model: being able to find room in your life for a kid, while dealing with that demon!
