Histamine, which is released with allergy attacks, certainly seems to cause cluster headaches when injected into sufferers (will bring on a headache 60-80% of the time)...but there has not been any direct connection found. Taking antihistamines (over the counter or scripts) rarely seems to help...but I'm not aware of it ever worsening headaches. Might be worth a try.
There are numerous triggers that cause people to get clusters. Increased pressure in the sinuses, heat, cold, alcohol...varies from person to person...and sometimes day to day. Certainly, your allergies might be one of your many triggers.
