Lars,
I normally hit the sack about 1:00 AM, and sleep until 7:00 AM (unless the 2:30 AM CH gets me). I find that if I stay up much later than 1:00, I can almost be guaranteed a nice level 10 headache within 90 minutes of going to sleep. This deprives me even more, so the next day I'm shot and also get more attacks of CH.
My solution (for me anyway) has been to get my butt in the bed by 1:00 no matter what. I keep an imitrex spray by the bed, which helps me lose the fear of the 2:30 demon, which in turn seems to help keep it from happening to begin with.
Anyway, my answer is yes -- the demon can mess with the sleep patterns but if I fight back and keep it as close as possible to normal, I do lots better and the CH frequency and intensity are lessened.
Best of luck!
Dave
