also Initially she was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia. T.N pain usually begins in the facial area and spreads to eye, temple and jaw. But this is my sister's condition; each person with clusters or possibly TN is somewhat unique. Symptoms vary but as Todd stated, only ONE SIDE of the head is effected; the eye on the affected side tears,turns red and may swell; the one nostril may become runny;can't sit still. Sometimes I would bang my head against the wall to distract myself from the excruciating pain of CH's.
I am glad you found us and can empathize with you and the awful pain that effects US mentally, emotionally, physically, and many of us financially.
