WHAT IS PAIN KILLERS DONT WORK?

I have been suffering from headaches for many years. My doctor has just recently diagnosed them as cluster headaches. I believe they are caused from an injury from when I was a child. I was in a highchair and it collapsed ,I got a hairline skull fracture. Well any way what I wanted to know was what to you all do when the headaches get so bad and painkillers dont work? I will take any and all suggestions. Thanks!!
