Hi all;
I am new to this site (today) and have some questions about meds I'm hoping you can help with.
First, I've been using ergotamine through an inhaler (with varied success) but noticed that the last time I used it that it now comes with new warnings and limitations on use. In effect, the new warnings/limits mean that it is ineffective for me (for ex., the warnings say not to use it more than once in 3 days and twice in a week - or something similar).
Does anyone know if these changed warnings are due to recent studies?? In a former life, I did medical malpractice litigation - and I'm worried that this change in warning is possibly due to new information on the side-effects of Ergotamine. Does anyone know of this or seen similar changes in the drug instructions?
Second, because of the above, my doctor in the U.K. has recommended that I try Imitrix (called something different here) which, apparently, now comes as an inhaler. Has anyone had any experience with Imitrix in this form? I tried Imitrix years ago when it was still only in pill form but had a reaction to it (plus was completely ineffective).
I'm going out of the country soon and want to organise this in advance (I'm due in the autumn - looking forward to that!)
Any help you can give will be appreciated.
