I have been a sufferer for seven years now. In the
beginning I was episodic but now have them chronicaly.
The longest pain free period in the past 3 years was 10
days and that was only once. I average 5-6 in good
weeks and 15-20 in bad weeks. Have tried all the usual
treatments but with little help. Imitrex injection is
all that works, but with headaches coming every 3-4
hours, eventually I "max-out". I have tried several
neurologists including my current one who supposedly
is a "headache" specialist. His philosophy is large
amounts of cafergot, lithium, and verapamil. He is
against any pain meds, Imitrex(this I get from a
sensitive family doctor)or prednisone and believes you
just have to tough it out. The condition is now at a
point that I am un-employable. Well enough of my
rambling. I would very much like the name of a doctor
experienced with and receptive to CH sufferers. I live
in the Los Angeles, California area but would travel
