Nancy, is this the surgery in which they sever nerves? I met a lady who had Trigeminia Neualgia and we talked for a long time. Her HA's sounded just like CH's, and she said when they wanted to cut the nerves in her face, she went for a second opinion. She went to a Doctor Dunn at St Johns Mercy Medical Center in St Louis and he performed a different type of surgery.(I am trying to get in to see this Dr. right now). Instead of severing the nerves and leaving your face with a droop and all that, he located the nerves that were crossing (They say that two nerves touch and that is what causes the pain). They did an MRA on her (Same neuro's office as mine) and found nothing. She had the tests sent to dr Dunn and he found the two nerves touching. He went in through the back of the head, wrapped one of the nerves with something to keep them from touching, and she has been HA free for 2+ years. Has anyone else heard anything about this? I am really anxious to meet this Doc, as he might be one of the only ones in the whole world who knows about this. I also heard he cured another man's HA's, as he found they stemmed from an irregular heart valve. I want to find out more, because if CH's are truly trigeminia Neuralgia, I want my veres wrapped, not cut.
