Can anyone tell me how long it takes for veramamil to start working? I started on 120mg a day a week ago Thursday (10 days now). I am still getting at least one CH per night, sometimes more. My neurologist said to try it for a week or so at 120mg. per day. If that doesn't work, double dose to 240 per day. I was afraid to jump it up so much (because of the tiredness) so I cut one pill in half and yesterday took 180 mg. Last night and into this morning I have gone through 3 CHs...one at 12:30 am (did Imitrex shot) one at 6:30am (did Imitrex Nasal Spray) and one at 8:30 am today (did Imitrex shot). I know I'm not supposed to use so much Imitrex, and I'm starting to feel like a human pin cushion, but I absolutely have to for the relief. My question is....when will the Verap. start to kick in??? And 240 mgs. per day a normal dosage for a female in her late 30s??? Help! I'm getting sooo frustrated and depressed! Doc. also mentioned DHE shots I might try...but said I would have to be admitted to hospital for 3 days. Anybody know anything about this????
