Unfortunately, I had to pull off my Verapamil, starting
last Thursday. I was on 200 mg, and last night, I
took my last pill of 40 mg. Does anyone know how long
it takes this stuff to get out of your system?
The reason my neurologist is having me do this is that
I got the flu about 7 weeks ago. A week after that, I
ramped up from 180 mg to 200 mg Verapamil. This flu
bug was extremely tenacious, and I kept getting relapses.
I also started feeling extremely fatigued and ill.
Now, 7 weeks later, we're not sure whether I'm still
dealing with a nasty bug or with side effects from the
Verapamil.
I'm getting so depressed. I haven't been able to work since
last Thursday because I'm so exhausted, and now I'm
being pulled off of my "miracle" drug. That's why I'm
wondering how long I have to engage in this little
experiment before I know that the Verapamil could no
longer be affecting me. I have a tank of oxygen at
the ready, and some Indocin as a preventive.
