My name is Paul I am a veteran of 18 years of the BEAST we call cluster headaches.
My story is so similar to everybody’s that I won’t bother telling most of it. I will however tell you that after reading tons of other peoples stories that a lot of people seem to have gotten rid of there headaches by doing or taking something to reduce STRESS. Exercise, prozac etc. I personally am sick of taking drugs I must have tried every drug available to mankind to get rid of this nasty beast. I am a cronic clusterhead so I don’t usually get a break longer than 2-3 weeks and who knows when that will come. I have a few questions I would like everybody to answer. Maybe this will help us.
1.Do you have tension in your neck or back? Or neck and or back problems?
2.Do you exercise daily? Exercises that would reduce stress and tension.
3.Do you eat healthy? Meaning at least 50% of your diet being water rich foods fruits, veggies etc.
4.How much water do drink per day? Not the water that is in a can of Mountain Dew.
5.Do you take a vitamin or mineral supplement?
For about 6 months I ate healthy, exercised every day I took a vitamin and mineral supplement with a cayenne pepper pill. And the knots of stress I carry between my shoulder blades and lower neck went away along with my cluster headaches. I even smoked during this 6-month period. Not 1 headache it was a miracle. But I started slacking on the exercise then the food. Now it seems I don’t even have time to grab a vitamin as I am rushing off to work. Guess what the headaches are back strong as ever. So I ask myself why can’t I do a few simple things everyday that wont even take 45 min. (about the length of a cluster) to help prevent this headache from coming back. Knowing what I am going to go through.
I haven’t had to deal with a severe headache since imitrix came along. Maybe that is why. I know all I have to do is take a shot and things will be a lot better in 10 minutes.
Maybe what I need is a shot of willpower. Please send me your comments.
Thanks, Paul
