I agree with Nancy that what you're describing sounds more like Trigeminal Neuralgia. It usually hits in short spurts. CH usually lasts 30min to hours.
But you need to get to a neuro and have an MRI done. That way they can rule out everything else. The symptoms of TN and CH are close, but there is more they can do for TN right now.
