I have suffered from cluster headaches for ten years. I have tried most of the commonly prescribed drugs. Some were useful but the possibility of long term damage from the medication made me seek a better way.
My doctor had heard about oxygen therapy so we gave it a try using a non re-breather mask at a moderate/high flow of pure oxygen for five to ten minutes. It works for me!
My insurance company is happy to cover everything. (they bought me a tank and regulator) The therapy is much cheaper than drug therapy and in my opinion much safer.
The only draw back is the inconvience of the tank at the work place. In my case I still use a prescription for emergencys at work. If your work place would allow you, a tank could be stored in your locker or closet.
I'm glad I tried oxygen, I hope it works for many others.
