Hi I have been having headaches now for 6 weeks. I thought I was having a dental problem and worked with the dentist for 5-6 weeks using lots and lots of ibuprofen. Last week I stopped taking all meds to see what happened. I found my headaches have a definite cycle. They start out slowly and build in about 5-10 minutes to excruciating and then in 15minutes to an hour they fade. The start in the back or my lower head and move around my face on the right side only over my upper jaw around my eye. I feel like popping out my eye for awhile and then it all goes away. Sometimes I have a warm tingly feeling as the pain is leaving. I have taken several days without meds to see the pattern. I went to a md yesterday theyordered a cat scan. I had 1 episode every 1.5hrs yesterday. It wakes me up at night and sleep does not relieve it like it does my menstrual headaches. I never heard of cluster headaches before yesterday. The m.d. thought I probably didn't have them since I wasn't crawling around on the floor. The pain is terrible but I've kind of gotten used to it now. I know it will end in 15-60 minutes and if really bad I take lots of ibuprofen. Does this sound like a ch to any of you. Please write back with some info. Thanks a lot.
