Cutting Imitrex tablets? Stadol?

I read about dividing the syringe dose of Imitrex. Does anyone know if I can safety do the same with the 50 mg tablets ie. cut them in half? The material accompanying the med says not to break or crush. My wife says I'm turning into a drug addict always looking for the magic bullet to deal with the headaches. Imitrex is the only thing I have found to work once they get beyond the rampup stage. Also During some alergy treatment I was prescribed Stadol nasal spray. This eliminated the headaches but was so potent I could not walk. Higher than a kite. I had to stop using it because it seemed the side effects were getting worse. Anyone have any experience with Stadol?
