Please don't give up hope that your Dad will someday be out of this shit! We are all routing for ya Bob and for your Dad. I am so very impressed that you, a 16 yr.old is "into" his Dad's pain. Not many of us can say that. That we have someone who tries like hell to understand, much less, tries to do something about it. Your Dad is a very lucky man, even if right now, he can't see that. After the pain subsides... he will. Keep on giving him the support you're giving him. Get him to try other methods he might not think of. Just do this when he's NOT in Pain though.
