I was a line cook for several years. Lost a few cooking jobs (and several jobs in other fields)due to the bad timing of some of the hits. But it's a job I loved so I'd just find a new one until my head got worse and I went chronic a few years back. Then I checked out other fields to work. My head's improved over the past few months, although I'm still chronic, and have seriously been considering getting back into cooking. I understand your concerns though about getting hit when you can't leave. Can't exactly leave a sautee on the heat when you're on your O2. It's a tough call, isn't it? The thing that has stopped me from putting a lot of energy into getting back in the field is just this issue. Not that I'm worried so much of what a boss would think but more of having the meal come out sub-par.
