Well my dr told me that the verapamil just keeps the calcium from your brain, it doesnt keep your body from absorbing it. For the cramps, you probably need magnesium and potassium. I don't know about the twitching. Have you had any swelling? After being on verapamil for several years, I developed edema, which is severe swelling of the legs, and can be quite serious.
