Doctor's do not HAVE to take anybody's insurance. Most doc offices have a sign saying YOU are responsible to pay the bill. Most do provide a service to file the insurance papers for you. It's a only a courtesy, not a requirement.
Some doc offices even require cash-in-full up front at each visit and the patient can fight with the insurance company. ALL doc offices make the PATIENT responsible for the bill, not the insurance company. Sorry, but that's the Capitalist System at it's best.
Ditto for drug stores.
