That was the point to my question. As I indicated in the original post, my perception, based on the posts here, was that O2 was effective for a much higher percentage of ch'rs. Prior to this poll, if asked, I would have guessed that 75% have tried it (I seem to have been close on that one) and that probably 65 to as many as 70% would have found it fully or frequently effective.
Despite this, and despite never having personally tried it, I'm still in agreement with the proponents who advocate it being a treatment of first choice, due to the low cost and relatively benign side-effects.
Back to your point, however. If (and these aren't the right numbers due to the poll format) O2 worked for only 29% of the ch'rs who had tried it, it would be fair to say O2 is 29% effective in the treatment of clusters. While it may be 100% effective for 7& of the people, that's no help to the 61% for whom it does nothing.
