Dry weather is sending me off into a really bad cycle now too (actually today), but be careful if you have mold allergies before you run a humidifier. Allergies are one of my worst triggers when I'm in cycle and mold is my worst allergen. Sorry I don't have a better idea for controlling humidity, but I recommend against the humidifier if there's any chance of mold allergies. You could be worse off in the long run.
