As his first "official" act as Pres, BobP has emailed all the Officers and Directors to start the process of getting everyone working together and pushing OUCH further along its' journey.
The most important question on my mind is "What?" What should we be doing? What should OUCH attempt to accomplish over the next year? What should we do to make this/these things happen?
For any newer members who may not be aware, in addition to serving as Pres Elect last year, BobP is also responsible for building and maintaining the OUCH website. He's worked his butt off (well, it's a pretty decent size butt, so he has some left) and done an outstanding job.
One of the features is a Message Board in the Members Corner. It has several different forums, including one for Members. Unfortunately, it's not very well frequented.
So, I'm inviting y'all to visit the Members Corner and start posting your OUCH ideas to the Member's forum. Please keep in mind that OUCH is still young and doesn't have much money, so well-meaning but ambitious ideas like "fund research" or "find a cure" aren't likely to be possible just yet. Think more along the lines of cheap/free publicity, getting the word out and growing OUCH.
OUCH is designed to be YOUR organization. This board clearly proves that we have more than our share of creative thinkers.
While you're at the OUCH site, consider joining one of the Committees. If you do, Bob sends you a secret decoder ring and everything. ;-)
