My husband suffers from cluster headaches and his doctor has prescribed Ergotamine 2 mg tabs to be taken sublingually. We have been unable to find them for the past 2 months. The only ones we were able to find were at the beginning of October, but they were short dated (expired on October 31). We have called every pharmacy within a 50 mile radius, and have searched the internet to no avail. His doctor has written him a prescription for Imitrex, but does not recommend it as it can cause heart attacks. He has told him to be very aware of any shortness of breath or tightening of the chest when he takes it. He hasn't taken any because the warnings have made us both a little worried, especially since he gets his headaches sometimes in the middle of the night when I am asleep. Does anyone know where we can get some Ergotamine? I am desperate. Please, please, please help! I don't know where else to turn.
