We do not have snow in South Africa, it's summer, bikini's, straw hats and braai vleis (barbeque)and pap (this is something made from ground maze that's boiled and served with a tomato and onion sauce called sheba).
We do not hang stockings over fireplaces, because we have none (no fireplaces or stockings) - too hot for fireplaces throughout the year, too hot and scratchy to wear stockings in this heat.
We drink beer out of beer mugs because any other mug means it contains something hot.
And here where I stay, hot is not a cool word.
