I’m a 6 year sufferer with 90% of my CH’s waking me up between 11pm and 4am.
I’m currently 2 weeks into this year’s cycle and recently logged onto this site for the first time.
I’ve tried something which has helped – although I admit to being apprehensive about sharing ideas as they might have been tried before and / or might give some of you false hopes.
For the last three nights I’ve taken a UK OTC sleeping drug called Nytol (made by Stafford Miller (UK)). It’s a one-a-night tablet which is intended to give you a good restful night’s sleep. For the last three nights I have slept through without being woken-up at all and I can’t believe my luck – or is it luck? I’m convinced it’s working because it has completely broken the pattern and I’m sure I’m still in my cycle because I had a head splitter yesterday lunchtime.
It may just be a coincidence and is obviously not a cure – but I thought I might as well share it in case it gives any other night-time sufferers some relief. Please let me know if you have any success or if you want any more info.
