Okay -- a couple of us got together and decided on the date of January 7,2002 as our goal to stop smoking. It's arbitrary, but it's also after the holidays which can be a stressful time for some of us.
I'm going the taper-down route -- one fewer cigarette each day from now until the 7th -- so that'll get me to zero right on schedule. He said.
As far as "organizing" this is concerned, it is organized. We have one another's e-mails, we have the message board (if DJ doesn't mind) and my phone number is 518-537-4559, for anyone to call me when the going gets rough, which it will.
Again, I'm an addict, and this is the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but I'm gonna give it my best shot, and hope to "get by with a little help from friends."
So, Elaine, and Margi and Ann and Svenn and ShariRae and Linda and Riccardo and others (Paco, for one, who is willing to kick some ass), plus a sweetheart of a guy named Will Power, let's just do it.
Okay, I'll pack up my pom-poms and cheerleading outfit, and start counting.
