I have stopped smoking twice in my life.
The first time I didn't smoke for 7 years. Then I had a major bad crisis in my life. I started again.
Two years ago tomorrow, I decided to quit for the second time. I said goodbye to my beloved cheroots. Of which I smoked about 12-15 a day. (Inhaled them, yes.)
Both times, I stopped cold, did not have cravings, did not start to pop more sweets etc. I did not need nicotin plasters, I did not need to be firm or heroic.
I just wanted, really truly wanted from the inside out, to BE A NON-SMOKER. A few times a day I told myself, hey, you're a non-smoker now!
The human mind is incredible. We can make ourselves believe practically anything. Why not that we're non-smokers?
It worked for me. What can I say?
