Simplifying the expression and eliminating the verbal interesting stuff.
n = 2001-y + 100x, if you had a birthday
n = 2000-y + 100x, without a birthday this year
the 2001-y expression, where y = year born is simply your age with a birthday, one year less without.
the 100x expression where x = # of choclates or sex where x is a factor from 1 to 9, would add a factor of 100 to your age. You are screwed with this equation if you were born before 1902.
So if you ate 9 choclates last week and were born in 1902 and had a birthday this year, n would equal 999 or simply 99 + 900.
