I'm going to finally make public a theory I've been toying with since my last two bouts.
Now, I've suffered from great pain before. When I was 17 years old, I had my finger cut off (yes, I had it sewn back on and it works like a charm today!), but boy did it ever hurt when it happened. I've been injured in a variety of sometimes unusual ways, and often, the pain lasted much longer than a CH attack. But, like a man (as they say), I took it. I kicked back, rented a few videos, and got over it (despite the fact that I once rented a really atrotious film starring Sylvester Stallone - The name of which I cannot remember at this time).
Anyway, why is it that I become a wimpering fool during a CH attack?
Well, I believe that there is some sort of neurological thing going on that makes us temporarily insane at the time!! It may sound as though I'm joking, and I guess I'm trying to make light of a terrible situation, but when I'm in the middle of an attack, I find myself pacing uncontrollably, uttering a collection of sounds and words that to any "sane" person would make me sound like one of those homeless street screamers.
Am I right or am I insane?
