For the past 23 years I have had to deal with my father SUFFERING from cluster headaches. I've sat in the bathroom with him watching him experiencing the pain, not knowing what to do, wondering if he was going to throw up, pass out, or just die on the floor. This had provided a very large burden on our family, now I am a Paramedic, I have many options and treatments for just about any medical emergency, but when my father has a headache, I am totally worthless to him, it tears me apart knowing that I can save someone's life but I cant take away this pain that is literally killing my father. I only wish I could do more.
