Since becoming chronic several years ago, I have tried numerous medications. Some have actually given short-term relief, only to stop working within a few days. Topomax worked for 17 days, then quit suddenly. Trileptal seemed to be the ultimate solution. I reverted back to episodic, having some pain-free days between bouts. But, alas, it has stopped working now. My theory is that clusters are actually sentient beings, with the ability to adjust themselves to any condition. They take great pleasure in causing pain to others, and develop defenses to any mode of attack launched upon them. They love to tease, and let you know when they are coming (shadows). Maybe Fox Mulder should do an episode of X-files on clusters (just kidding, folks).........For those who complain about negative energy, just be glad that there is some energy here. This is about the only place where any energy is expended fighting clusters........Anyway, I'm just sitting here, weeping with one eye, with the remnants of a good, sound mind that has been ravaged by clusters and (legal) drugs......Wish you all well.
