Most of the viruses are written for PC's and don't infect Macs which is where the bulk of my e-mail goes. I know there are types that are pandemic (can cross platforms) but those are rare. Hardware firewalls keep the crap out of LAN at home. If one was to get through to the LAN then the virus software is the next wall. If one were to get through that, the BIOS is guarded and HD's get immaged, compressed then transfered to off line HD's on a regular basis. Total system rebuild takes ~ 20 min / CPU.
