Trying to get enough oxygen through cannulas (that little tube that goes under your nose) is a waste of time. First, it won't deliver enough, and second, air will mix with the oxygen before you can inhale it therefore you'll not get 100% oxygen. You must get a non-rebreather mask and a tank of 100% oxygen with a regulator that will deliver 10 liter per minute. Start huffin' on that sucker at the very first sign of a cluster attack and keep it for at least 5 minutes after the pain stops. That nurse is an idiot…..100% through cannulas is NOT the same as 100% from a non-rebreather mask. About the machine….called an oxygen concentrator, they work fine for their intended purpose but they usually only deliver 5 to 8 liter per minute. Some people have reported here that they do work for them but most say they don't. You're probably correct in saying you know more about ch than anyone around you. You've done the right thing in researching the beast and coming here. There is more information and experience with ch here than you'll find anywhere else. Keep reading and learning and asking questions. Your parents are correct to be concerned about the crazies on the net. There are from time to time crazies, idiots, fakes and trouble makers at this site but they don't get far with the crap they post. At this site you'll get honest, experienced answers to your questions.Stick around and read, read, read.
