Have done the taper many times. Most times it has broken the cycle. Others it hasn't but gave me enough relief to regain my strength. If you start getting relief from the pred. try not to get to excited. The cycle may start up again after the taper. Have you tried Verapimil as a preventative. Might be a good idea to start the verap about two weeks before the end of the taper. When the taper is through the verap. kicks in.
