Interesting results, particularly in comparison to DJ's latest Weekly Poll. Points out how the wording of the question and the potential answers can influence the response. In the CHQ, 11.6% said they were diagnosed "immediately", while 13.3% were diagnosed within the first year of onset of pain. Another 31% were diagnosed within one to five years after onset of pain. In the Weekly Poll, 36.2% (as of this writing) were diagnosed after seeing 1 - 2 doctors. Now the question is this - how long after onset of pain did you seek your first diagnosis? Put another way, how many of the 31% of CHQ respondants waited long after first onset of pain to even seek medical attention? While I can't recall my response to the CHQ, I do know that I didn't even seek a diagnosis after my first cycle - it was probably during the second cycle (two years later) that I saw my first neuro who immediately and correctly diagnosed me. Wish I understood more about surveys, cause they are definitely tricky.KTSSU, T
