Tom's doctor is taking about to "remove the lining of the sinus"; how this could help CH is hard to imagine.
The theory of Drs Novak & Bonaccorsi is, that an infection in closed up sinuses can release some poisonous substances, that seep through the bone and then affect the trigeminal nerve. By opening up these closed sinuses they hope to achieve a natural drainage, beneficial on CH. Although their theory is already 30 years old it has not found wide acceptance, and they have not many success stories to tell.
On the other hand, unlike some 'surgeons' we know of in Syria and South Africa, they are not out for a fast buck. Viviane visited Dr Novak, but he concluded that she was not a candidate for his surgery.
