had to pay $1,500.00 for a round trip ticket where the person next to me only paid $150.00 and for my extra $1,350.00 still only got one bag of peanuts, they use to give an ounce, now it's 1/2 ounce. Now you have to pay $5.00 extra for security. I wish they would charge even an extra $10.00 for air. Since the energy crisis, the airlines resorted to recirculating a much greater percentage of the air to save on fuel costs so you end up breathing bacteria and CO2.
While I detest carry on luggage, it's the only sure way of making sure it's safe. Had both equipment and luggage lost many times, sure they replaced it, but doesn't do much good making a trip when your equipment is in Moscow or some other foreign city.
My last several trips, they didn't send tickets, have to wait in a long line to pick up your ticket, then another long line for security. Once you got your boarding pass, no further ID was necessary, this is after walking close to a mile in overheated terminals hauling your luggage.
