that are absolutely obsessed with so-called health foods, aloe can cure anything form cancer to CH's kind of thing. Frankly they drive me nuts. Johnny Carson had some idiot author on his show that wrote a book on the harmful effects of caffeine, even to the point where you couldn't go see your doctor and asked how much coffee you drank per day. They even put caffeine on the medical questionnaires, but after learning about it finally dropped that off.
I can see where if a person has a vitamin deficiency, they may have a problem, I believe the diet you refer to only applies to young children that are prone to having seizures. Can't dispute whether the high fat diet works or not, may have minor effects on reducing the seizures, but then again, the kid may die of a heart attack before reaching maturity.
I hate natural food stores, positively no labeling on any of the goods sold, couldn't sue if you wanted to, still believe in a well balanced diet. I met doctors in the past that pushed diets, not only suffered from CH's but think I was dying of starvation as well, never been overweight. Yeah, I tried the aloe to please a relative, waste of time and money.
I can only go by personal observations and think much of the cause of my CH's are caused by a virus where my auto-immune system way over reacts. Other family members can have these long term virus's but without the CH.
Only thing I can say for sure, we don't know what we are dealing with, and until we find out, will be scambling in a thousand different directions.
