Stadol NS was originally introduced to the drug market in 1991 as an uncontrolled drug by Bristol Myers and was peddled by the drug reps to neurologists as a non-habit forming migraine killing opiod-antagonist. By 1995 Bristol Myers was petitioning the FDA to contol Stadol NS on their own accord thus, restricting a very profitable drug to limited access. It was eventually classed in 1997 July as a IV controlled substance.
No problem, right....a doctor's 24 yr. old son committed suicide while in an in-patient treatment hospital trying to get off Stadol NS. He sued Bristol Myers and settled out of court. Since then numerous law firms have taken up actions on behalf of Stadol NS addicts for personal and professional losses and have settled out of court.
