I do oxygen for attacks first (look in the medical info as Donna suggested). It works maybe 80 percent of the time. For the ones it doesn't get, I use Imitrex (same as Imigran) nasal spray and it has never failed to abort the attack within 10 minutes.
You want to minimize it because it constricts not only your cranial vessels (providing relief), but also your coronary arteries. It's usually no problem, but if you have some blockage it might get you in trouble.
That's my take on it anyway!
