to tell you how my daughter, Kathy served over 20 yrs in the USAF in ND, coming as an airman to work on the Tankers and B-52's. The tankers moved along with her husband, but she stayed, raising her girls and serving to maintain pride and service not only for herself, but for the B-52's under her care. Often the only female on the line, she nonetheless earned her rank and became one of the few female MSgt in the Maintenance Wing. During the past two years she served as NCOIC of the Fabrications Shop(a first), with top Honors for the shop and the base, instituted and trained a new lettering program for the aircraft, Woman of the Year, representing the military, maintained a 4.0 toward a double major. Retired Oct 01, 2001 due to personal circumstances beyond her control..My part in the military has been Grandma in Charge of the Home Front...I maintain my post in readiness should she be recalled...
