I have had tension headaches (maybe clusters?) frequently for 8 years (daily in the last year or two). I can only describe as pounding in the back half of the head accompanied by severe neck tension. Other symptoms I have had: overuse of antibiotics, acne, sinus congestion, chronic sore throat with negative cultures, fatigue, terrible memory. Very little IBS though.
I only discovered Candida on the internet a few weeks ago. I went to the doc and asked for a Diflucan prescription. The DAY AFTER taking my first dose, I was headache free for the first time in a year! The dosage I am on is: 100mg/day for 7 days, 200mg/week for 7 weeks. It is now about 10 days into my Diflucan treatment and I am starting to get the headaches again (I guess dieoff of the yeast). One thing...so far I have NOT been able to follow the anti-candida diet (total lack of will power).
I'm sure I won't remember to come back here and post a follow up to this, so if anyone is curious about my results, feel free to email me.
Good luck beating the fungus!!!!!!!
