The endocrine system consist of the hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pineal body, ovary , testis, and pancreas. The hypothalamus directly coordinates the endocrine system and controls directly the pituitary gland. Information reaches the brain from outside stimuli that changes are needed somewhere in your body and nerve cells in the hypothalamus secrete body chemicals that either stimulate or suppress hormone secretions from the pituitary gland. The hypothalamus is the primary link between your endocrine system and your nervous system....So this explains to me why Michael could have had a ch after getting all excited from his wreck... Jim, some of the hormones secreted by the endocrine system are TSH, ACTH, LH, FSH, GH, Thyroxine, ADH, Corticorsteriods, Cortisol, Epinephrine, Sex hormones and Melatonin. smiles,nancyc
