My husband is a 40 yr old who's had CH since 1995. Fortunately this is only his 3rd attack. Imitrex works (thank God) and 5mg will stop it if he hits it immediately. Otherwise it will take 10-20 to stop it. If he doesn't catch it quick enough, even 20 mg won't stop it. His CH's last around an hour or so. He started on Methylprednisolone this morning. I've seen promising positive results from people on this site. My question is about the mg level. His DR gave him a standard dose pack. He'll take 6-4mg tablets today, 5 tomorrow, 4 the next, then 3, 2, 1 and done. Does this sound okay?? I've seen other posting where the mg levels were much higher to start (80 mgs the first few days).
