in an industrialized nation such as the USA, save about 20% of the electrical energy generated by nuclear power plants, all forms of energy used for home and plant heating, automobiles, planes, ships, industry if produced by combustion of wood, coal, and fossil fuel products. All current forms of combustion are incomplete, ironically the privately owned automobile must meet stricker requirements than commercial trucks that consume far more fuel due to current EPA regulations. By nevertheless, the increase in automobile usage far exceeds the reduction in emissions for the individual vehicle. Commerical flights emit billions of tons of incomplete combustion into the atmosphere especially in large airports where 100% power is needed for take off. I am very susceptable to CH's at airports.
My suggestion to completely quit smoking is to completely quit breathing. Consumer Reports reported that living in a wood burning community is equivalent to smoking more than 20 packs a day.
